Jed Tarr is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Hospitality Group, a vertically integrated real estate investment and operating company focused on boutique hotels and hospitality assets across the United States. He launched the company in 2012 at the age of 27 with the acquisition of a small beach motel in San Clemente, California, financing the purchase through a private lender and raising additional capital from former employers and a mentor from the Urban Land Institute. Over the ensuing years, he acquired his partners’ interests and transformed the business into a nationwide hospitality platform.

Prior to founding Coastal Hospitality Group, Jed worked in real estate development with a land developer in Phoenix and later with a self-storage development company in Los Angeles. He has been an active member of the Urban Land Institute since 2006, maintains active real estate licenses in both Arizona and California, and studied business and economics at Arizona State University.

Under his leadership, Coastal Hospitality Group has grown into a diversified owner, operator, and developer of boutique hotels, extended-stay lodging, and destination resort properties. Since its founding, the company has acquired 14 hotel properties and has earned a reputation for identifying and revitalizing distinctive hospitality assets in desirable coastal and mountain markets. Through a disciplined, value-oriented approach and vertically integrated operating platform, Jed has established Coastal Hospitality Group as a respected presence within the independent hospitality sector.
